This was the scene at Calvins' school this morning. A quiet student body gathering in the auditorium to watch the Inauguration. There were a few hushed boos and cheers mixed in here and there, but for the most part, it was very subdued.
But when everyone in Washington D.C. was asked to stand for the formal "swearing in" portion of the ceremony, everyone here in this Duluth, Minnesota auditorium stood. It gave me goosebumps. This is definitely a mixed bunch. Many young Republicans, many young Democrats...but all stood together to witness and appreciate this moment in history.
