Picture Day

Today was Mason's last game. His team went out with another win, 5-1...then a photographer took the team photo, and individual shots. Mason has two more team events, a pizza party, and a trip to a Duluth Huskies game, where he'll be introduced and go out on the field with a Husky team member. I might have to blog about that.

But don't think that the sporting events are over. Oh NO!

Soccer practice starts on Wednesday. Game one, August 3rd.

This poem was found in my 96 year old Grandfather's wallet after he passed in 2008. It was written in 1965 by Walter D. Wintle.

"The Man Who Thinks He Can"

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think that you dare not, you don't,

If you'd like to win, but you think you can't

It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost.

For out in the world you'll find,

Success begins with a fellow's will,

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to think high to rise,

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man

But sooner or later the man who wins
