I woke up in the middle of the night with the most shocking thought! I'd posted my answer - a sink plug - and it wasn't right! I knew in my heart it was the face of an iron... and could only fall back asleep after reassuring myself that I had the right answer and would confirm it in the morning. Now, I log on to see that not only was my first instinct wrong, but also my second! Guess that will teach me to listen to ideas I come up with in the middle of a sound sleep. Hope you're having a great day - is school done there yet?

This poem was found in my 96 year old Grandfather's wallet after he passed in 2008. It was written in 1965 by Walter D. Wintle.

"The Man Who Thinks He Can"

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think that you dare not, you don't,

If you'd like to win, but you think you can't

It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost.

For out in the world you'll find,

Success begins with a fellow's will,

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to think high to rise,

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man

But sooner or later the man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can.
