Clean Cotton

I used to go through one of these giant candles every couple of weeks when we lived in Marshfield. I don't burn them as often here, but Clean Cotton is still my favorite scent. It smells like I've been doing laundry. Which I haven't. But I should.

Must have been the stench from the central WI farms that you were trying to get rid of here.

Hey lady, I'm right there with you. Thanks for hooking m up with the clean cotton oil thingies from TJ Maxx! I feel so clean and fresh! (When I close my eyes it's almost Spring!...almost.)

This poem was found in my 96 year old Grandfather's wallet after he passed in 2008. It was written in 1965 by Walter D. Wintle.

"The Man Who Thinks He Can"

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think that you dare not, you don't,

If you'd like to win, but you think you can't

It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost.

For out in the world you'll find,

Success begins with a fellow's will,

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to think high to rise,

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man
