Well, for this part of my life, the scrapbooking photographer part, I think this is it. It's called the Library of Memories and here's why it's going to work for me. I already implement some of what is being taught in the class! I'm pretty sure this won't be a complete change in my thought process. Photos are stored chronologically, but scrapped in whatever order you want. No rules. Great! I already do that! What the class will provide is the finishing touch. A "flowchart" and a way to keep your photos moving so you're making connections and telling stories that develop over time, not just telling the story of one event on one particular day. Does that make sense?
This morning there was an e-mail waiting for me from Stacy Julian, (Altogether Too Happy on my blog list) the fabulous instructor for this class. The e-mail included the Scrapstrong Pledge you see in today's photo. I was so excited to sign it (and have my young witness get on board) and get started on this class! A bit corny, I know, but I will post the Pledge next to the computer in my craftroom, and I will refer to it daily. As soon as I get back from vacation. Oh. Yeah, did I mention we're doing that? Stay tuned!
***Had to add this - Just read on the Library of Memories site that there are 700 people taking this class for the first time, and 1000 people taking it as alumni. That's a BIG CLASS!
If you're a new classmate---say hello---leave a comment!

***Update on my laundry situation...another organizational challenge I blogged about in mid-January titled "You've got to keep up..."
ReplyDeleteI have implemented Maura's system and have used it successfully for the past 2 weeks! So far, so good!
