A Dreary Day

Non-stop rain for us in Northern Minnesota. I think our next house project involves installing a basement waterproofing system. The sump pump isn't working. (oh no!)

Great mood in this photograph. Weather here (near Ottawa) on Nov 1 is sunny. I love when November comes in with sunshine. It is usually such a grey month.

This poem was found in my 96 year old Grandfather's wallet after he passed in 2008. It was written in 1965 by Walter D. Wintle.

"The Man Who Thinks He Can"

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think that you dare not, you don't,

If you'd like to win, but you think you can't

It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost.

For out in the world you'll find,

Success begins with a fellow's will,

It's all in the state of mind.
